Constantin Marian Brosteanu, Mnemonic Landscape II, Didsbury UK, 2017
In response to this year’s theme the project is a new extension to a previous visual study exploring the mnemonic dimension of photography. Based on the theory that photographic images depend more on the memory that already exists within us rather than the detailed features of the image in itself.

An eclectic mix of work in various styles by a range of local artists will be shown as our summer showcase exhibition. Many of the artists have responded to our festival theme of Roots, and there is a strong sense of people, place and the local that runs through this curated show. The exhibition will provide a backdrop to many of the festival’s events held in the Didsbury’s iconic Parsonage building.
